Mr. Leavitt is a Certified Professional Landman through the AAPL with over 13 years of Land experience. As Vice President of Land at Nickel Road, he overseas leasing, title, administration of the land portfolio, owner relations, contract negotiation, and advising on business development opportunities. Prior to joining the Nickel Road team he served as District Landman for Bayswater Exploration where he facilitated a two rig horizontal drilling program with 105 wells drilled during his tenure. He contributed on business development transactions totaling approximately $1B and is well versed in the full cycle of Land and Business Development. Mr. Leavitt got his start in the industry 15 years ago working as a Roustabout in the oil fields of Weld County digging trenches, installing equipment and performing EHS and Regulatory services and prides himself on his breadth of knowledge within the industry from starting in such humble, but critical roles.
Mr. Leavitt received his Advanced Energy Land Management Certificate through Denver University and his BS in Business Administration through University of Northern Colorado. He is a COGA ENGEN alumni, Eagle Scout and enjoys woodworking, mountain biking, hiking and camping with his wife and three kids.
